In late summer 2020, the pandemic was still impacting daily life, and the need for quality food was growing, especially with winter approaching.

During this time, we learned about community refrigerators appearing in cities across the country. After months of research and conversations with community leaders, we knew this model could help meet local needs.

In December 2020, we opened the first Community Fridge in the state of Delaware. What started with one fridge has grown into six community fridges across Delaware, expanding access to fresh food for more neighbors.
